How can we prevent autism scripting

Stimming can take very different forms.Self stimulatory repetitive behaviors and movements can provide sensory input for children with asd, helping them cope with anything stressful in their environment, or helping them to focus or express their feelings.You keep your arms clamped tightly to your sides when you feel happiness or stress building up, so you don't stim.Hiding or minimizing personal interests.It may help to keep a diary for a few weeks to see if you can spot any meltdown triggers that you can do something about.

A lot of doctors, therapists and parents attempt to break this scripting cycle in hopes of helping children with autism learn to play more creatively, more socially, and to help their verbal skills.Identify an achievable time interval that the student can go without engaging in the scripting behavior.The interval should be short and doable.Don't script and do not mask!Escape maintained behaviors (what crafty and clever things are you students doing to get out of work and how can we stop it?) thursday:
